BEVERLEY
TO BELLEVUE
Transformation of a dated Mediterranean-influenced residence conceived as a fresh canvas punctuated with bold sculptural elements to showcase the clients unique style inspired by contemporary west coast glamour.
A new front wall sets back behind greenery to soften the scale of the front façade while the new entry roof appears to reach out and embrace those entering. Generous skylights create a bright welcoming arrival space highlighting the dramatic gloss black door and its oversized circular brushed brass handle.
The foyer features a new curved stair adding sensuality and a sense of occasion to the space.
Extending and covering the terraces on all levels created better indoor/outdoor connections and allowed for greater engagement with the expansive harbour views to the north.
Use of glazed roofing ensures natural light is brought into the living areas but it is filtered by closely spaced rafters.
A new spiral stair flows to connect the main terrace to the garden. It's curvilinear form is rendered vividly against the clean, reordered lines of the house.
An arced 20m swimming pool spans across the rear yard, the weathered deck surrounding it integrates it into the landscaping.
